The Pink Barn
12x16
It is not very often that one sees a pink barn. Oh, sometimes you can see one because the red paint is faded and it gives the illusion that it is pink, but this one was actually pink and I had to paint it. Fall was just hitting the southern part of Colorado and northern New Mexico and Coni asked me to travel along to meet up with her friends- the high desert painters. They had rented the sweetest house at the base of the mountains in northern New Mexico and there is where I spotted it- the pink barn. The sun was shining full fledge upon it so no shadows to speak of - just little bits here and there. The barn also had aqua/blue doors- nice touch. There is a pink horse trailer that I need to paint next over by Saguache- yup, I've been keeping my eye on that one.

Lovely painting...
Love it and all the colors are so natural and earthy.
I've never seen a pinkish barn,
I never hope to see one...
Oh wait, that's not how it goes. :)
You've done it again Susan. It's a beaut all over but that distant hill behind the barn is right on.
