12x16This was painted at Rock Creek - south of Monte Vista, Colorado. The colors will be changing soon so I decided it might be nice to get some summer paintings before it is too late. There were a few visitors to the area but I pretty much had the place to myself.

I usually try to go paint the mountain colors in the fall. I think it's going to hit early this year. It's probably a good idea to paint what's left of summer. This ones nice too. I like the way the light comes down that hill side back there.
