Aspen at Rock Creek

I painted this small painting after doing the morning stream painting. This was a tough painting as there were no shadows on the trees. I also put the paint on quite thick.

These painting where the subject is front lit are more difficult to do. I think one just has to rely on value and color to make objects look right. This piece reads very well. Ya did good.

Thank you Eldon- I had a tough time with it- I think because I had to keep moving my easel around trying to find shade- the sun sure does move fast when you are trying to use a tree trunk for shade.
