Wind and Awards

This year the wind has been blowing with relentless intensity. In my last post I mentioned that the wind had been dying down - what a stupid thing to write. I was obviously just doing some wishful thinking and the dirt has been flying ever since I made that fateful remark.

Well I found out today that I won an honorable mention at the AANC National Exhibition. I am excited and I wish that I had gone to the reception but Ft. Collins is about 5 hours away for me so I didn't go- I now regret it. My painting Reflections on Shaw Lake won the award - Here is the painting....

This weekend is the beginning of the AANC show in Ft Collins Colorado, and my painting Reflections on Shaw Lake will be on exhibition there. The reception will be on April 10, from 6 to 8 pm at the Lincoln Center in Ft Collins.
