Show at the Millicent Rogers Museum

Tomorrow I will be traveling to Taos for the annual juried Plein Air PAinters of New Mexico show.  I had two paintings juried in:

Standing Alone
12x16
I painted this very close to Penitente Canyon and it is down the La Garita Road.

I painted the second one in Taos ( well close to Taos and it is Kevin MacPherson's pond.
The Pond
12x16
This was painted in the spring - everything was just starting to bud out with the exception of the Aspens- they still looked pretty dead.

Well the reception is from 5 to 7 and should be a good time- try to make it if you are in the area.

A plein air- La Garita Morning

This little church is not far from where I live-  it is the La Garita Church and is nestled against some lower hills and mesas.  I taught a workshop last fall and took my students to this little church to paint- I think they enjoyed it- I hope so- as it was the only day that the weather was nice enought to actually get outside to paint.  I love this little church - I'm not sure if it is use right now or not but it looks as if activites are stirring and care for the grounds and nearby graveyard are painstakingly groomed. Its nice to see..
