Artwalk Reception tonight at the Rialto

Tomorrow the Alamosa Artwalk will feature fabulous entertainment and fun!  Part of the festivities will be Coni and I painting on the street- that is unless the wind is blowing 50 miles per hour.  In that case we will be hiding up in David Montgomery's studio.

There will be a artwalk reception tonight at the Bistro Rialto featuring a preview of the art that will be displayed tomorrow.  The Reception starts at 5pm.  My painting, Bison at the Dunes, will be hanging in the show and then will be wisked off to the Brewery where the rest of my work will be hanging.
Here are a few paintings that are hanging in the Brewery:
 Bunny    5x7
Just in time for Easter!

Northern Sangre Sunset

The artwalk will be as always, great fun.  A good time to meet up with friends, shop a little, look at all of the great art, and try to win a prize!

Artwalk fun

9x12
Bistro Rialto

Coni and I got out pretty early on Artwalk day and started painting the Rialto, an old movie theater that has been changed into a Bistro. It is now a great Italian eatery aptly named the Bistro Rialto.
A shot of Roger Ericksen, Coni Grant and Heidi Algrim at the Southern Peaks Library where Heidi was displaying her art.
We visited David Montgomery and his wife Cynthia at his studio where there is always a great crowd of people gathered every year during the artwalk.
David took this picture of Coni and I painting across the street from his studio.

It was a nippy day but I believe it was successful- I sure had fun.
